![]() I am currently a part of a community band and I play the trombone (since 2016). I also later got the Little Echo Blue from STL. (Has anyone else been asked this?) I've been playing the ocarina since 2011. I am also apparently a "flute player." Translation: I play wind instruments, which is the equivalent of "flute" in the minds of non-musicians. I'm creative, optimistic, and caring (as many people tell me). I'm a musician, but I work as a copy editor for fictional stories. I'm a Zora - not technically biologically speaking, but whatever. I'll leave what that stands for to your imagination. Stuff Spoiler About Me Spoiler Well, my full name is Pori M. Lollipops! (if you get this reference, you're awesome) My Current Ocarina(s) Spoiler Kokiri Edition Zelda Replica from Songbird (plastic)īlue Mosaic Seedpod in Soprano C from Songbird My Oc of Choice Spoiler Kokiri Edition Zelda Replica from Songbird ![]() Again, this is all very new to me, so to those of you who generally buy plastic ocs, am I overlooking this? If you like an ocarina that is not easily breakable by dropping it, a replica from the Legend of Zelda, and/or if you like less holes on your ocarina, I would recommend this ocarina, but I personally prefer ceramic to plastic. And Songbird also slipped in a 20% off coupon. I was a bit disappointed when I first saw it, but after playing it for a while, I got used to it. All my cards on the table, I have never bought a plastic ocarina before. Seriously, I opened the box and thought it was a joke for a second there. I did not expect this ocarina to be plastic. ![]() It comes with a tutorial booklet with the fingering chart and 7 tabs (how convenient): Zelda's Lullaby, Saria's Song, Kokiri Forest, Epona's Song, Song of Storms, The Market Song, and Song of Time. It has a really good sound to it, and it is a reasonable size. Honestly, considering my past four years of experience, I am not too impressed.but don't get me wrong it still is a very good instrument. On a normal 12 hole ocarina there are 2 thumb holes, but on the double ocarina there is only 1 thumb hole. Hey I had question about the fingering on the double ocarina. ![]() This is my first ocarina from them, so I won't put in too much hate. Keep in mind that while fingering is largely standardized for the first chamber, it is not standardized for the second chamber and different makers will use different systems. So, I know I'm a liiiiittle late to this party.but I just recently bought the Kokiri Edition 7 hole ocarina from Songbird. ![]()
